My father used this book extensively in the 1950’s whenever we traveled. I remember 1957 in Las Vegas, on our way to Compton, Ca. , he used this book to refer us to a lodging in Vegas called “Pearls”. As a kid of about 10 or 11, I remember my Dad and I spotting a rat in a closet and he made me promise I wouldn’t mention it to my mother. ..

Try me at jwtown@comcast.net. I’m located today in the Chicago area where I did a lot of growing up. Funny how I didn’t figure on being a story teller of sorts, but Wilkerson has influenced me in regards to that. This summer there is to be the first Townsend Reunion. That’s what the T stands for. Let me here from you.
